KTÜ Software Engineering Department Introduction Event

The Software Engineering Department introduction event at KTÜ Faculty of Engineering was held on Monday, April 28th, as part of the "Department, Program, and Profession Introduction, Academic Counseling, Career Development, and Social Cooperation Protocol" signed between Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) and the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the "Introduction of Engineering Departments and Sharing of Professional Experiences Protocol" signed between KTÜ and the TMMOB Trabzon Provincial Coordination Board (IKK).

The goal of this collaboration, initiated through two separate protocols, was to guide teachers working in high schools with comprehensive information about the Software Engineering profession and the KTÜ Software Engineering Department.

The introduction event began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Temel Varol, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. The program continued with speeches by Prof. Dr. Murat Ekinci, Head of the Software Engineering Department, Çağatay Murat Yılmaz, a faculty member of the department, and representatives from the student clubs of the department.

In the presentation by Çağatay Murat Yılmaz, the history of the department, its academic structure, practical training processes, laboratory infrastructure, the successes students have achieved in recent years, industry collaborations, career opportunities for graduates, and the social activities held in the department were shared in detail. Then, the representatives of our student clubs gave presentations on the history, structure, events, and competitions the clubs have participated in. The event concluded with a Q&A session and evaluation.

We want to thank all the faculty members, academic and administrative staff, student club representatives, teachers working at educational institutions in Trabzon, and our esteemed audience for their participation in this meaningful event.
