TUA Astro Hackathon Brings Turkey's Space Vision to Young People-Don't Miss the Application Deadline

Organized under the leadership of the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) in collaboration with TÜMMİAD and Valentura, the TUA Astro Hackathon will take place on March 28–29, 2026. Aimed at bringing Turkey’s vision for space and technology to the youth, this event will bring together participants interested in developing projects in the fields of software, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and space technologies.
Over the course of the two-day hackathon, participants will work in teams of 2–5 members to develop innovative projects in space technologies and advanced technology fields, and will have the opportunity to present their work to a jury. The event will not only help young people enhance their technical skills but also enable them to collaborate with participants from diverse disciplines.
The Department of Software Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University is also participating as a strategic partner in this significant event, supporting the development of young talent who will contribute to Turkey’s space technology ecosystem. Our department’s involvement in this event aims to encourage our students and young researchers to take an active role in the fields of space technologies and advanced software solutions.
This event aims to foster the development of ideas that will contribute to Turkey’s space vision; participants will undergo an intensive project development process and have the opportunity to receive support from expert mentors in their field.
