Great Achievements by KTU at TEKNOFEST!

Our university made a significant impact at TEKNOFEST, where technologies shaping Türkiye's future are discovered and innovative projects are showcased with full support for the "National Technology Initiative," by winning numerous awards.

TEKNOFEST, Türkiye’s largest Aerospace and Technology tion Festival, organized by the Turkish Technology Team (T3) Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, opened its doors to technology enthusiasts this year at Adana Şakirpaşa Airport. Among the 128 stakeholders, including public institutions, technology companies, universities, and media organizations, our university stood out with a series of awards.

Ranked First Among 354 Patents

In the “Patent Competition” organized by the 9th International Science and Invention Fair, the project titled "Deep Learning-Based Anomaly Detection System for Vibration-Based Structural Health Monitoring," prepared by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Can ALTUNIŞIK and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Yesevi OKUR from our Department of Civil Engineering, was ranked 1st out of 354 patents, winning the “Grand Prix” award. The award was presented to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Can ALTUNIŞIK and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Yesevi OKUR by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN.

Successive Achievements by Our Students!

Our university’s Hangar Team won 1st place in the Air Defense Systems Competition; the Creatiny Surface Team took 1st place in the Unmanned Surface Vehicle Competition; and the Creatiny Hyperloop Team won 1st place in the Hyperloop Competition. Meanwhile, our Trabzon Energy Technologies Society placed 2nd in the Efficiency Challenge, and the Nuclear Space Team placed 2nd in the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition.

Great Achievements

Our Atisoceng Team achieved 3rd place in the T3 AI Hackathon, in the category of Application Development using Large Language Model, and the Space W1 Team won 3rd place in the Wireless Communication Competition. Following the 3rd place teams, our YGM KTU Space Team secured 4th place in the Mid-Altitude Competition. The YGM KTU Space-S-1 Team also earned the “Best Presentation Award” in the Digital Technologies in Industry Competition.

Expressing his emotions and thoughts following the awards, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, highlighted that our university will continue to provide more support for young people and the development of national technology, stating, “At TEKNOFEST in Adana, our university made a powerful impression with our academics and students. While we experienced immense pride with the achievements of our KTU academics in the Patent Competition, our joy reached its peak with the championships of our students. Our youth are confident. As KTU, we continue to be pioneers in technology and innovation, just as in all other fields. Our students and academics contribute to global scientific advancements with their projects showcased at TEKNOFEST. I congratulate our academics and students for making us proud as Türkiye’s champions.”
